Blackjack VIP is an exciting variant of the classic game that all players are sure to love. Not only is it a multi-hand game, allowing players to play up to four hands at once, but it offers many exciting features, including two side bets both of which can be very profitable. The game is played with four decks of cards that are shuffled between each round and it offers everything a player could need, such as the ability to double down, split hands, and take out insurance.
To start the game you need to place your chips in the betting areas of the hand positions that you wish to play and at the same time, place any side bets. When you are happy with your bet click on ‘Deal’ to receive two face up cards to each hand position while the dealer will receive one face up and one face down.
For each position that you play, the aim is to build a hand that is as close to 21 in value as possible but without exceeding 21 and going bust. The game takes its name from the best possible hand, Blackjack, two cards, an Ace and a 10, that make 21. No other hand will beat Blackjack, including those worth 21 but containing more than 2 cards.
You will then play each of hand position individually and there are three basic options for each hand:
Sometimes one of the following options may be offered:
When you have finished playing your hands the dealer will play. The dealer will always draw more cards until the hand is worth at least 17.
The basic betting in Blackjack is very simple, there is just the main Ante bet placed at the start of each round, and occasionally players can also place an Insurance bet.
Blackjack VIP offers two side bets, Pairs and 21+3. The Pair side bet wins if the first two cards dealt to a hand form one of three types of pair, a Perfect Pair (two identical cards), a coloured pair (the same colour but different suit) or a mixed pair (different suit). The 21+3 bet wins if the first two cards dealt to a hand combined with the dealer’s face up card form either a flush, a straight, a three of a kind, a straight flush or a suited three of a kind.
The game has a few features that will enhance your enjoyment. Between each round, there are shortcut buttons to quickly bet the same again and start the next round, so that you do not have to keep placing chips on the table. You will also find buttons to control the volume and sound effects.
All winning hands are paid out at 1:1, except for Blackjack, which pays at 3:2. A winning insurance bet pays at 2:1 (ensuring that you do not lose money on the hand), while hands that tie with the dealer are returned as a push.
The Pairs side bet offers payouts of 25:1 for a Perfect Pair, 12:1 for a Coloured Pair and 6:1 for a Mixed Pair. The 21+3 side bet pays out 100:1 for a Suited Three of a Kind, 40:1 for a Straight Flush, 30:1 for a Three of a Kind, 10:1 for a Straight and 5:1 for a Flush.
